In early 2011, Julie Strudwick decided to open her own business. She had always dreamed of being her own boss and knew the benefits of Shapemaster equipment, having worked as an employee in another Shapemaster studio previously.

Julie approached Shapemaster who worked with her to identify suitable premises and draft a business proposal. “I was extremely nervous, but very excited at the same time” remembers Julie. “The ongoing support and help I got from Shapemaster was invaluable, they were able to answer so many of the questions I had and their experience from working with other new business owners meant that they could advise me on lots of different aspects of getting the business started.” Julie identified her premises, which had free parking and great local transport links and she then secured her funding.

The order for her equipment was placed and within 6 weeks the equipment was delivered and fully installed by Shapemaster and she and her team then took part in Shapemaster training. All Julie’s hard work soon began to pay off with Julie signing up over 200 members in her first 2 months, which was way above the target she had set herself.

Julie’s friendly approach and thorough knowledge of the equipment meant that customers were quickly achieving their goals to lose weight and improve their health and her business is still thriving and continuing to grow.
